Newsfeed: Kaduna to Host International Security Conference in April

The Kaduna State Government has initiated plans to host the Kaduna International Security Conference, scheduled to take place in April. The two-day event is being organised in conjunction with the Office of the Honourable Commissioner for Internal Security, Kaduna State and JP Baker Consortium, a UK-based organisation.

The conference is being convened in response to the various security challenges currently facing Kaduna State, including terrorism, kidnapping for ransom, banditry, farmer–herder conflict, and communal violence.

The government’s objective is to assemble leading experts, policymakers, and practitioners from across Nigeria and internationally to develop a practical and workable framework to address these complex and evolving threats.

As part of preparations for the event, the state government has tasked all security agencies within Kaduna to conduct a comprehensive threat assessment to ensure the conference is held in a secure and conducive environment.
